Natural Ponds
A natural pond becomes the heart of the garden within a season. Birds bathe at the shallow edge, frogs settle into the marginal planting and dragonflies arrive within weeks. The water reflects the sky and the planting, and the whole space feels calmer.
We design and dig bespoke pond shapes with shelves at the right depths for marginal, oxygenating and deep water planting, line with heavy duty EPDM rubber and protective underlay, then edge softly with stone, planting and pebble beaches that invite wildlife in.
Done well, a natural pond is largely self balancing and asks very little of you in return.
